I have a lot of super awesome talented friends. Some of them created a kids' show called "Yo Gabba Gabba!", and sometimes I get to visit the set. This was my 3rd time there, and this time I was able to bring 2 of my bestest friends, Rachael and Kristine.

It's so cool to see how the show comes together. My friend Parker showed me some sketches of concepts that they had just received that morning, and then props that were made from those sketches that very same day! We also saw a guy whose job is to sculpt styrofoam to make backgrounds and props. The guy sees a sketch, and then carves/sculpts foam and turns it into a 3D thing. Amazing.

I took a lot of cool pictures, but I can't post any spoilers :) So here are my friends and me hanging out in Gabba land. (L-R: Kristine, me, Rachael)

Thanks to all my pals at YGG for always being so nice. I never feel like I'm bothering anyone when I visit. When you're at Yo Gabba Gabba, you are treated like family.

save the date

November 7, 2009

I will be in my first art show with (and thanks to) my friend Alex Funderburk.

I will be working dilligently, making new paintings for the show, but will not be posting any of that new stuff until after the show. So all 6 of you will have to wait :)

I also have some other goodies in the works that I can't post about right now (but it is soooo rad.)

In the meantime, maybe I will post other kinds of stuff...
