Gold glitter and hair bows... "for the win!"
I always have these visions of wearing cute clothes, and instead I end up wearing the same old stuff over and over. I have so many accessories that I never even wear. I contemplated this yesterday, as I sat there wearing jeans, a Toddland tee, and a plaid shirt, and I vowed that the next day I would wear something I hardly ever wear. So this morning, out came my gold glittery shoes and a giant hair bow. I should do this more often. I felt pretty awesome all day!

Fun with camera phone (San Diego edition)
We visited Balboa Park (pretty, nice for Zoey), the San Diego Museum of Art (WEAK) and the Museum of Man (kinda sorta weak), ate lunch at Hash House A Go-Go (TOTALLY AWESOME AND NOT AT ALL WEAK), and then visited Old Town San Diego (love) and took a tour of the haunted Whaley House (okay). I can check "day trip to San Diego" off my list now. I wouldn't mind taking a more "adult" trip for some shopping and to check out that Alice in Wonderland bar I'm always hearing about. But I had fun with my family :)

Top to bottom: I saw some cool book covers while browsing through a used book store. / I thought these orange flowers were interesting. Flaming Lips at Hollywood Forever
These are some pictures and video I took at the Flaming Lips show at Hollywood Forever cemetery. It was my 5th time seeing them. The last 2 times I've seen them, I scored a pretty good spot in the crowd, and it makes a world of difference to be in the mix of strobe lights, videos, confetti, streamers, and giant balloons. My favorite thing about a Flaming Lips show is that it's a complete experience - aural and visual. I always leave feeling stoked about life and creativity.
