We've been trying to do a "Sunday supper" kind of thing here at Xanadu, so a couple weeks ago we had our inaugural Sunday supper of chicken and waffles! I guess what we mean by "Sunday supper" is that we have a little extra time to make something that's not on our usual dinner roster.

My buddy Paul and I went up to Century City to visit the new Paul Frank office and have lunch with our old pals. They take up an entire floor in a high rise building. The creative part of the floor was pretty nice looking, but being there really solidified that I was glad to have moved on.

I was in Pasadena last week and decided to stop by Carmela Ice Cream. I have always wanted to try Carmela's ice cream, but I live so far away, so there was no way I was leaving Pasadena without going to their shop! The girl working there was so nice, and when I told her I live far away and had been wanting to try their ice cream, she let me sample EVERY SINGLE FLAVOR!

It was so hard to choose which flavors would come home with me, but I ended up getting cardamom, salted caramel, aztec chocolate, lavender honey, and of course some rocky road because it's Kyle's favorite (they even make their own marshmallows for it).

I've been taking Zoey to Sky High Sports, the place that has wall-to-wall trampolines. She loves it! I wondered if she would be a little apprehensive the first time, but she ran off and jumped her away around the entire place. She has not quite mastered the butt bounce yet, but she enjoys practicing!

Zoey has been growing like crazy. She is getting so tall. I had to go to Target a couple days ago and buy her all new jammies because her footie jammies are all too tight, and all her shirts are too short. I picked up this adorable dress while I was there. I wish it came in my size. Maybe one day I will figure out how to make this for me. It looks like it would be an easy thing to sew.

We only have 2 bedrooms, so I finally had to create a little office nook in our bedroom. I really didn't want to do it because I was afraid it would be crammed, but it's actually not bad. I needed a place to put my printers. I recently bought an awesome printer that is specifically for printing art and photos. It uses high quality inks that will last 100+ years! We originally had this dresser in Zoey's play room (which is actually part of our living room). I stole that from her and now am using the drawers to store all the things I am selling on Etsy, mail supplies, fancy art paper for the printer, etc. It's like my official Etsy zone. I feel so organized now.

There is nothing better than a perfectly worn in pair of Converse. I am dreading buying a new pair, but I am going to have to because my socks get wet if I wear these in the rain.

Zoey has discovered the joy of markers and washi tape, and I am more than happy to sit at the dining room table and color and tape things with her.

I start a new job in less than 2 weeks and I am sooo excited about it. I won't get vacation time for a whole year, so I am really trying to live it up my last 2 weeks as a lady of leisure. Yesterday, Rachael and I went to "Little India" in Artesia and ate at The India Restaurant, which my friend Smithy always recommends. Afterward, we went to Knott's Berry Farm because we both have passes. Indian food and roller coasters was a fun little experiment. You know what I found out? I have turned into a wusslord in my old age. I used to be down to ride any roller coaster, but now I'd much rather watch from the sidelines (Indian food or not).

I have one more week to be a lady of leisure. I need to think of some good stuff to do!

The Little Big Blog Valentines Giveaway!

Hey pals o' mine! My friend Carrie Anne over at The Little Big blog is hosting a really cool Valentines Day giveaway, with a bunch of handmade and vintage goodies, like these ones pictured above. That's right, one of my hearts is included! So if you want to score one of these bad boys, lovingly made by yours truly (probably while watching "Ghost Hunters"), head on over to her blog and read the directions on how to win!

And now I present you with Carrie Anne, modeling the heart pin featured in the giveaway. I like the way she pins it on a scarf! Smart cookie.
