French Kicks

I used to download a lot of music, and sometimes it would be too much to actually enjoy all of it, so I would end up glossing over a lot of albums and they would never fall into my regular rotation. A few months ago, I decided to get comfy at work finally and load a bunch of music onto my work computer. I had my iTunes playing on shuffle, and "With the Fishes" by French Kicks came on. About halfway through the song, I thought, "Wait, this is awesome, what is this?" and ever since then, I listen to this album from the beginning to the end a few times a week. Cool story, bro.

Patchwork Edible at The OC Mix

The two pictures above are of items sold by Good Home Studio, a shop in Old Town Tustin, which I must go to immediately.

I bought the most amazing lavender caramel sauce from these people. So far I have only consumed it by the spoonful.

I bought a couple of cookies from Love Bites for Kyle and I to eat that night.

Desiree and her cute handmade items. I interviewed her last year.

My favorite ceramics by Andrea Luna Reece.

This homie knows a lot about tea and was a good sport when I asked him if I could take a picture because I enjoy his "old timey look." When it is hot outside, all I want is a big glass of iced tea.

Wish I had been there for 5:00 and 6:30.

This stuff by Barrington Blue is so awesome, but was a bit out of my price range for the day (it was either buy one pillow from her, or buy a lot of things from a lot of people). Her stuff looked like it was worth every penny, though. She makes everything herself from vintage fabrics. I must save up to buy something special from her!

Krista from Sisters of Summer, which was formerly Windsday Handmade. I'm liking the new name, it fits their vibe so much better. Plus, her and her business partner-in-craft, Kelley, are sisters!

Visit Patchwork's website to find out about more upcoming events.

That's me and Leif
